Can I check what's planned near a flat or plot before I buy it?
Yes. Search the address and look at what has applied for approval nearby — a highway, a quarry, a large tower or an industrial unit can change a neighbourhood. Always verify with the authorities before you decide.
Which projects are covered?
Every project in every state and union territory that needs an environmental approval, permission to use forest land, a wildlife review or a coastal review — from large housing societies and townships to highways, rail lines, mines, factories, power lines, pipelines, ports and resorts. Applications from 2022 onwards are included.
How early do projects show up?
As soon as they apply for approval — usually months, often more than a year, before construction starts.
How accurate are the locations?
Most projects are placed using the exact site boundary drawn in the application. Where none was filed we use the village, tehsil or district, and each project says which.
